February 2012 - Micki has recently accepted the position of Director of Nursing at Medicalodges of Leavenworth. A lifelong resident of Leavenworth, she will graduate from the University of Kansas in May with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
Emily Vosseler '05
January 2012 - Emily has been chosen as a recipient of the Horizon Award from the Kansas State Department of Education. The award honors Kansas Educators for distinction in their first year of teaching. She will be recognized during a February 12th luncheon in Topeka. Emily is in her second year of teaching at West Intermediate School in Leavenworth. |

Linda Haller '02 graduated cum laude from Loyola University in
Chicago with a BS degree in psychology in May 2006. She was selected
for participation in the Casa de la Solidaridad program as a
facilitator and volunteer in El Salvador. She is working with American
students studying at the University of Central America as well as
working with members of the Salvadoran community. (10/06) |

Kenneth Heintzelman Sr. '56 retired in July 2006 from his
position of Fire Chief of the Kickapoo Township Volunteer Fire
Department, Leavenworth County. Kenny was honored in September for his
24 years as chief during a retirement reception in his honor. He and
his wife Peggy plan to move to Colorado following retirement from his
"day job" at Great Western Mfg. Company in Leavenworth. They are the
parents of Tammy '82 and Kenny Jr. '86. (10/06)

Lisa Horn '97, Montgomery AL, has accepted a position with the
Montgomery Advertiser in Montgomery. She will be the paper's military
reporter, a position similar to what she did for Stars and Stripes in
Germany. For the past two years, Lisa has worked as the faith and
ethics reporter at the St. Joseph News-Press in St. Joseph, MO. (12/06)

Linguistic dissertation research at two academic conferences in Nov
2006 - at the International Gender and Language Association conference
in Valencia, Spain, and at the American Anthropology Association annual

Bollin Siblings: John '82 is a graduate of Pittsburgh State
University; he is a Research Associate at UMKC. John and his wife
Michelle of 8 years reside in rural Leavenworth County. Cathi '83
graduated from KU with a degree in Recreational Therapy; she and her
husband Shawn reside in Weston, Missouri with their son Quinn. Cathi is
in partnership with her mother in the family business, the Missouri
Bluffs Boutique, Weston. Patty '85, a graduate of the University of St.
Mary in Leavenworth, is the mother of five children. She resides in
Weston MO and is employed at the Platte County Board of Services. Chris
'85 graduated from Oklahoma University. He held the position of
Assistant Wresting Coach at OU and later at the University of Northern
Iowa. Presently he resides in Leavenworth County and is writing a book.
Michael '87 graduated from Pittsburgh State University. He is a
biologist and is employed by Pace Analytical as an Aquatic Toxicologist

Sister Amy Willcott '79, Sisters of Charity, received the Civis
Princeps Award presented by Regis University ( Colorado ) at its May
2007 commencement ceremony. Regis presents this "first citizen" award
as its highest honor to individuals in the Colorado community whose
life exemplifies the Regis Jesuit mission of leadership and service.

John Fitzgerald '94 was one of four University of St. Mary
(formerly St. Mary College ) alums inducted into the USM Athletic Hall
of Fame in February 2007. John was a basketball standout at the
University and remains the all-time leading scorer in USM's history
with 1,462 points. While at the University, he was also an Academic
All-American and National Scholar Athlete. (7/07)
